Setting Up the Training Courses List

Cority stores information about mandatory and optional courses for your employees. Entering details into the TrainingCourse look-up table will save you time when recording information about training sessions and the attendees.

Setting Up Training SEGs

An SEG (similar exposure group) is used to group employees who have common surveillance requirements. An SEG can be used to group employees exposed to the same hazard, those with the same medical surveillance requirements, or those with common training requirements (such as those who require recertification).

Training SEGs are used to forecast training events including the sessions scheduled or the status of training completed, and are used in planning training course requirements. Courses for specific training certificates are managed by placing them in an SEG. Code these SEGs according to the applicable certificate name. It is this code that will appear on training certificates and letters produced by Cority. SEGs also appear in some of the Training reports (see Training Reports).

You can also assign all employees in a particular SEG to attend an training session.

Similar exposure groups (SEGs) are defined in the SimilarExposureGroup or ExposureGroup table (depending if you are considered a Medical user or an IH user).
