Reporting a Body Fluid Exposure

A Body Fluid Exposure record can be initiated from the Clinic Visits module.

1. On the Case/Incident tab, select the BFE check box.

2. If the visit has previously been saved, choose Actions»Go to BFE to open the Body Fluid Exposure module.

3. If the visit has not yet been saved, when you save you are prompted to link the visit to an existing body fluid exposure record or to create a new one. If you choose to create a new one, the Body Fluid Exposure module opens.

In either method, the Exposure Date is populated from the Injury/Illness date in the clinic visit. For more information about completing the BFE record, see Body Fluid Exposure.
